ProDispatch sends automated SMS messages on behalf of home service businesses. This page explains how consumers are opted in, what messages they receive, and how to opt out. These terms apply to all SMS communications sent through the ProDispatch platform.
SMS Quick Reference
1. How You Opt In
By calling a business that uses ProDispatch and not answering or missing the call, you consent to receive automated SMS messages from that business via ProDispatch. Your call to the business constitutes your request for service, and the SMS messages you receive are the business's response to that request.
Specifically, opt-in occurs when:
- You place a call to a home service business that has ProDispatch enabled
- The call is not answered or is missed
- ProDispatch automatically sends you an SMS on behalf of that business to acknowledge your call and assist with your service request
No additional action is required to opt in. Your inbound call to the business is the triggering event, and the first SMS you receive will include opt-out instructions.
2. What Messages You'll Receive
Once opted in, you may receive the following types of automated SMS messages from the business via ProDispatch:
- Missed call acknowledgment — an initial message confirming that your call was received and that the business will assist you via text
- Service qualification questions — follow-up questions to understand your service needs (e.g., type of issue, service address, urgency)
- Appointment confirmations — confirmation of your scheduled service appointment, including date and time
- Technician ETA updates — notifications when your technician is on the way, including estimated arrival time
- Job status updates — messages about the status of your service request, delays, or changes to your appointment
All messages are sent on behalf of the home service business you contacted. ProDispatch is the technology platform — the business is the sender of record.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your service interaction. A typical service interaction from initial call through appointment completion involves 3–8 messages. You may receive more or fewer messages depending on the complexity of your service request, scheduling changes, or follow-up communications.
You will only receive messages related to an active or recent service request with a business using ProDispatch. We do not send promotional or marketing messages.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. SMS messages sent and received through ProDispatch are standard text messages. Your wireless carrier's standard messaging rates apply. These are typically included in unlimited messaging plans, but if you have a limited plan, message and data charges from your carrier may apply.
ProDispatch does not charge you directly for receiving or sending SMS messages.
5. How to Opt Out
You may opt out of ProDispatch SMS messages at any time:
Reply STOP to any message you receive to immediately opt out. You will receive one final confirmation message ("You have been unsubscribed and will receive no further messages.") and no additional messages will be sent to your number.
- STOP — unsubscribes you from all ProDispatch SMS messages
- STOPALL — same as STOP
- UNSUBSCRIBE — same as STOP
- CANCEL — same as STOP
- QUIT — same as STOP
- END — same as STOP
Opt-outs are processed immediately. If you opt out and later wish to re-engage with a business using ProDispatch, you may call them again to restart the workflow.
